These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of www.appliance-rt.com (the "Site"), operated by Appliance Rescue Team. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

About our services

The Site provides information about our appliance repair services in Bergen County, NJ and nearby Rockland County, NY. Content on the Site is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute a binding offer or a guarantee of any particular price, availability, or outcome. Our diagnostic fee and repair pricing are described on the Site but may change, and any repair estimate is confirmed with you before work begins.

We service household and light-commercial appliances. On gas appliances our work is limited to the appliance itself — its igniter, gas valve, orifices and flexible connector. We are not plumbers and do not work on a building's gas piping; anything upstream of the appliance connector is referred to a licensed plumber or your gas utility. Appliance Rescue Team is factory-authorized for Speed Queen and Z-Line; for all other brands we are an independent repair service and are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by those manufacturers, and brand names are used only to identify the equipment we service.

Contacting us and requesting service

Submitting a form, calling, or texting us is a request for service, not a confirmed appointment. An appointment is confirmed only when we schedule it with you directly.

Diagnostic fee and pricing

We charge a flat $110 diagnostic fee for a service visit. The technician inspects the appliance, identifies the fault, and gives you a full repair price before any repair work starts. If you approve the repair, the $110 is credited toward it. If you decide not to proceed, the $110 covers the visit and the diagnosis, and nothing further is owed.

Repair prices quoted before work begins are the price for the work described. If the technician finds a second, unrelated fault once the appliance is open, we stop and get your approval before doing anything beyond what you already agreed to. Prices shown anywhere on the Site are typical ranges, not quotes.

Warranty on our work

Repairs we perform are backed by a limited warranty covering the parts we installed and the labor to install them. The warranty period and terms for your specific repair are stated on your invoice, which controls. The warranty does not cover a different fault in the same appliance, damage from misuse, power surges, pests, water damage or improper installation by others, parts you supplied yourself, or an appliance that has since been worked on by someone else. To make a claim, call us at (551) 255-3689 with your invoice.

Appointments, access and cancellations

We schedule arrival windows rather than exact times, and traffic or a job that runs long can shift a window; we will let you know if it does. Please cancel or reschedule at least a few hours before your window so we can give the slot to someone else. Someone 18 or older needs to be home for the visit, and the appliance needs to be accessible — clear of stored items, with room to pull the unit out where that is required. If we arrive and cannot access the appliance or no one is home, we may charge the $110 visit fee.

Intellectual property

The Site, including its text, design, logo, and graphics, is owned by Appliance Rescue Team and may not be copied or reused without our permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Site will be error-free or uninterrupted. This disclaimer applies to the Site only — it does not affect the limited warranty on repair work described above, which is set out on your invoice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Appliance Rescue Team is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.

The Site may link to third-party websites (such as our social media). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.
